Book Clipper

image

This plugin imports book information from these websites into Obsidian:

  • goodreads.com
  • amazon.com
  • taaghche.com
  • fidibo.com

Available Variables

  • {{title}}
  • {{author}}
  • {{translator}}
  • {{pages}}
  • {{cover}}
  • {{publisher}}
  • {{datepublished}}
  • {{ISBN}}
  • {{url}}
  • {{language}}

⚠️ On Goodreads {{translator}} isn’t returned because authors and translators aren’t properly separated in the JSON-LD we use for web scraping. As a result, both end up in the author field.

About
Import book metadata from Goodreads, Amazon, Taaghche and Fidibo directly into Obsidian notes. Populate templates with variables (title, author, translator, pages, cover, publisher, date, ISBN, URL, language) to auto-create book entries. Beware Goodreads may combine author and translator, so translator may not be returned.
