Graph Legend

Show the color groups of your graph view as a small, collapsible legend in the corner of the graph.

The graph view colors nodes by your color groups, but never tells you which color means what. Graph Legend reads the color groups straight from the graph view, so the legend stays in step when you add, reorder or recolor a group.

Features

• Collapsible. Click the header to fold the whole legend, or a section heading to fold one section. The state is remembered.
• Sections. Split entries under headings with regular expressions on the group query, e.g. ^tag: for tags and ^path: for folders.
• Readable names. path:"Projects/" shows as Projects, tag:#idea as #idea. Rename any entry, or leave it out of the legend.
• Highlight on hover. Point at an entry and its nodes stay bright while the rest of the graph fades, the same effect as hovering a node.
• Pin or filter on click. Click an entry to keep its highlight until you click it again, or switch the click to filter the graph's search instead.
• Three styles. Fishbone (a colored spine with a branch per entry), a list with dots, or a tree.
• Fits your theme. Uses your theme's text and background colors. Position, font size and opacity are adjustable.
• English and Japanese.

Usage

1. Add color groups in the graph view (Settings icon in the graph → Groups).
2. Open the global graph. The legend appears in the bottom left.
3. Adjust it under Settings → Community plugins → Graph Legend.

The command Collapse or expand the legend is available from the command palette.

Notes

• The graph view has no public API. Graph Legend reads the color groups through the graph view's internal state and hides itself if that state is not available, so an Obsidian update cannot break the graph itself.
• Highlighting reuses the graph's own hover fading. It does not change your search or graph settings.
• The filter click action changes the graph's search query, which Obsidian saves with the graph settings. Click the active entry again to restore your original search.
• The legend is hidden in graphs docked in a sidebar by default. Turn off Hide in sidebars to show it there too.

Install

From Obsidian: Settings → Community plugins → Browse → search for "Graph Legend".

Manually: download main.js, manifest.json and styles.css from the latest release into <vault>/.obsidian/plugins/graph-legend/, then enable the plugin.

Release: bump the version with npm version patch (updates manifest.json and versions.json), push the tag, and the GitHub workflow drafts a release with main.js, manifest.json and styles.css.

グラフビューの色グループを、グラフの隅に畳める色の一覧として出すプラグインです。

グラフビューは色グループでノードを塗り分けますが、どの色が何を意味するかは表示しません。Graph Legend は色グループをグラフビューから直接読むので、グループを足したり並べ替えたり色を変えたりしても、一覧が自動で追いつきます。

• 見出しのクリックで全体を、節の見出しのクリックで節ごとに畳めます。状態は覚えます
• 正規表現で節に分けられます(例: タグは ^tag:、フォルダは ^path:)
• path:"Projects/" は Projects のように読みやすい名前で出します。名前の変更や、一覧から外すこともできます
• 項目にカーソルを当てると、ノードにカーソルを当てたときと同じく、そのグループだけを明るく残してほかを薄くします
• クリックで強調を固定します(もう一度で解除)。設定で、検索を書き換える絞り込みにも変えられます
• 表示の形は、フィッシュボーン・点つきの一覧・ツリーの3つ。位置・文字の大きさ・不透明度も変えられます
