Search Movies and TV Shows TMDB

A plugin to search for movie and TV show information using the TMDB API.

✨ Features

• TMDB Search: Search for movies and TV shows via the command palette, with automatic metadata retrieval.
• Template Records: Automatically generate Markdown files with posters, ratings, synopses, etc.
• TV Show Support: Track TV shows by season, including episode lists and viewing progress.

🚀 Installation

Method 1: Install from Obsidian Community Plugins (Recommended)

1. Open Obsidian → Settings → Community Plugins → Browse.
2. Search for "Search Movies and TV Shows TMDB".
3. Click Install and Enable.

Method 2: Manual Installation

1. Download the latest release (main.js, manifest.json) from the Releases page of the repository.
2. In your Obsidian vault, open the .obsidian/plugins/ folder. If the plugins folder doesn't exist, create it.
3. Create a new folder named search-movies-tv-tmdb.
4. Extract the downloaded files into this new folder.
5. Open Obsidian, go to Settings > Community Plugins, disable "Safe Mode" (if active), and enable the "Search Movies and TV Shows TMDB" plugin.

💻 Usage

1. After enabling the plugin, access the plugin settings in Obsidian.
2. Enter your TMDB API Key. You can get one for free at the TMDB website.
3. Open the Command Palette (Ctrl/Cmd + P) and type TMDB.
4. Select the option to search for a movie or TV show and type the title.
5. The information will be automatically imported into a new note!

• Suporte a Séries: Acompanhe séries de TV por temporada, incluindo listas de episódios e progresso de visualização.
• Visualização em Cartões: Navegue por todos os registros de visualização em uma grade visual de cartões.
• Campos Pessoais: Preencha com suas impressões, classificação pessoal, plataforma de visualização, status de visualização, etc.

🚀 Como Instalar

Método 1: Instalar a partir dos Plugins da Comunidade Obsidian (Recomendado)

1. Abra o Obsidian → Configurações → Plugins da Comunidade → Procurar
2. Pesquise por "Search Movies and TV Shows TMDB"
3. Clique em Instalar e Ativar

Método 2: Instalação Manual

1. Baixe o último release (main.js, manifest.json) na página de Releases do repositório.
2. No seu cofre (vault) do Obsidian, abra a pasta .obsidian/plugins/. Se a pasta plugins não existir, crie-a.
3. Crie uma nova pasta chamada search-movies-tv-tmdb.
4. Extraia os arquivos baixados para dentro desta nova pasta.
5. Abra o Obsidian, vá em Configurações > Plugins da comunidade, desative o "Modo de segurança" (se estiver ativo) e ative o plugin "Search Movies and TV Shows TMDB".

💻 Como Usar

1. Após ativar o plugin, acesse as configurações do plugin no Obsidian.
2. Insira a sua chave da API do TMDB (TMDB API Key). Você pode conseguir uma gratuitamente no site do TMDB.
3. Abra a Paleta de Comandos (Ctrl/Cmd + P) e digite TMDB.
4. Selecione a opção para buscar um filme ou série e digite o nome da obra.
5. As informações serão importadas automaticamente para a sua nota atual!
