An Obsidian desktop plugin that transcribes interview recordings and creates a structured interview-review report.
Features
- Transcribe supported audio files and video files.
- Review an existing transcript without uploading a media file.
- Generate a structured report with dimension scores, question-by-question feedback, strengths, improvement priorities, and an action plan.
- Save transcripts and reports as Markdown files in the current Obsidian vault.
- Use a license key to check the available review quota.
Requirements
- Obsidian desktop 1.4.0 or later. Mobile is not supported.
- An active license key issued by the service operator.
- An internet connection. This plugin is not an offline transcription tool.
Data and Privacy
Before using the plugin, read PRIVACY.md.
When a review is requested, the selected media file (or transcript), interview metadata, job description, and license key are sent over HTTPS to the configured processing service. The plugin saves generated reports locally in the user's vault. Do not submit information that you are not permitted to share.
Installation
- Open Settings -> Community plugins in Obsidian.
- Search for Interview Review Assistant.
- Install and enable the plugin.
- Open the plugin settings and enter a license key.
Manual installation
- Download
main.js, manifest.json, and styles.css from a GitHub release.
- Place the files in
<vault>/.obsidian/plugins/interview-review/.
- Reload Obsidian, enable the plugin, and enter a license key in its settings.
Usage
- Select Review interview recording/video from the command palette, or select the microphone ribbon icon.
- Select a supported media file or paste an existing transcript.
- Provide interview context such as the company, role, interview stage, and optional job description.
- Start the review. The transcript and report are saved in the configured report folder.
Each completed review consumes one license quota. Transcription and AI analysis are processed through the hosted service; the operator may offer trial or paid quotas separately.
