Fluent Block Link is a lightweight, lightning-fast Obsidian plugin that allows you to instantly generate and copy clickable block reference links for any selected text or current line to your clipboard.
Paste the generated link anywhere across your vault — in other notes, canvas, tables, or task lists — and click to jump directly to the exact sentence or paragraph.

- Intelligent Block ID Handling: Reuses existing block references if present, or creates a new unique 6-character alphanumeric block ID.
- Cross-Note Link Resolution: Links are generated with full vault resolution so they work seamlessly when pasted into any other note.
- Clean Formatting: Automatically strips markdown prefixes (headers
#, list bullets- [ ],*,1., blockquotes>) from the alias text for clean, elegant inline links. - Multiple Link Formats:

🚀 How to Use
- Open any note in Obsidian.
- Select any text (or just place your cursor anywhere on a line).
- Trigger the command
Fluent Block Link: Copy block reference link(or press your custom hotkey). - Paste (
Ctrl + V/Cmd + V) anywhere in your vault. - Click the link to jump directly to the referenced sentence or block!

Tip: Go to Settings → Hotkeys and search for Fluent Block Link to bind a hotkey (e.g. Alt + C or Ctrl + Shift + C).
⚙️ Settings
- Default link format: Switch between With alias, Raw link, and Embed block.
- Clean alias formatting: Toggle whether markdown headers, bullets, and blockquotes should be stripped from the alias text.
- Show copy notice: Toggle notification popups when links are copied.
📦 Installation
From Obsidian Community Plugins
- Open Settings → Community plugins.
- Turn off Restricted mode.
- Click Browse and search for
Fluent Block Link. - Click Install, then Enable.
