An Obsidian plugin providing inline typography shorthands, rendered in Reading view and Live Preview: ^^text^^ for a small-caps new-thought opener, &&text&& for an italic run-in lead-in, and @@字@@ for a two-line CJK drop cap (首字下沉).
Part of Tufte for Obsidian — a theme and plugin suite carrying Edward Tufte's book design into Obsidian. Development, documentation, and issues live in the main repository; this repository exists to distribute the plugin through the Obsidian community directory. Styling for the shorthands is provided by the Tufte theme.
Install
- Manual: download
main.jsandmanifest.jsonfrom the latest release intoYourVault/.obsidian/plugins/tufte-inline/, then enable the plugin in Settings → Community plugins. - Use together with the Tufte theme, which styles the small caps, run-ins, and drop caps.
